More about me

I’m Keri, a nutritional therapist, registered with the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP) and the General Naturopathic Council (GNC).

I studied to become a Registered Nutritional Therapist at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, and run my clinic from Ayr, on the Southwest coast of Scotland.

I have been – and continue to be – inspired by the myriad examples of the potential of tailored nutritional support, not least the story of my own father…

Diagnosed with colon cancer (which his own father succumbed to) at the age of 61, Dad chose to take a different approach to his health. He made some pretty dramatic changes to his diet and lifestyle: consuming half a ton (slight exaggeration) of organic vegetables – many of them green – cutting out the unhelpful stuff (goodbye refined sugar), taking some good-quality supplements, and following a few other health protocols along the way.

Fast-forward to age 85, and he’s still giving me car advice, challenging social norms and, thankfully, has remained well.

Coincidence? Misdiagnosis? Luck? Perhaps. I’ll never know.

What I do know is that his experience sparked a lasting interest in the relationship between nutrition, lifestyle and health, and a desire to understand how personalised nutritional support might help others.

My approach is not simply about putting a sticking plaster over symptoms. Where appropriate, I’m interested in looking beneath the surface – exploring the possible underlying factors that may be contributing to how you feel, rather than focusing solely on the symptoms themselves. By understanding the individual as a whole, we can work towards addressing those contributing factors and supporting the body’s natural processes.

Whether you’re looking to improve or maintain your overall health, or you’d like nutritional support alongside appropriate care for a diagnosed condition, nutritional therapy may have a valuable role to play.

Please note: nutritional therapy does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. I do not diagnose diseases or claim to cure or treat any disease, including cancer. Where appropriate, I will recommend that you seek advice from your GP or other qualified healthcare professional.

My philosophy

"Your health is what you make of it. Everything you do and think either adds to the vitality, energy and spirit you possess or takes away from it"
